Gemma's First Birthday

Library

Gemma is surrounded by books at our house, and her main interest right now is removing them from the bookshelves. The library was a huge playground for her!

Sugaring Off

A few weekends ago, we went to the Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival at Bruce's Mill Conservation Area. It was still a bit chilly, but it was a beautiful late winter day, perfect for hiking around outside. Please enjoy these highlights and the complete set of photos:

Bum Scooting

Gemma has been on the move since the end of January now. While she can do an inchworm-like maneuver on her tummy, she usually does what we call “bum-scooting”, demonstrated below. She can also pull herself up now, so it's only a matter of time before she can start toddling around.

Paul and Gabe were reading a book together recently.

Paul: This is a wreck. Do you know what a wreck is?

Gabe: No.

Paul: Do you know when a boat sinks to the bottom of the ocean?

Gabe: That's a submarine.
