Announcing: Our Baby's Names

We have thought about the baby's names for a while now. In the past few days, we have settled on an English name which gave rise to a Hebrew name. This led to further brainstorming about the Chinese name, which ultimately resulted in his English middle name!

At his bris this afternoon, we publicly announced his names:




Gabriel Gayui Flicker-Fung
He is named after his late great aunt Gail. His middle name is a romanization of his Chinese given name.

גַּבְרִיאֵל
His Hebrew name is Gavri'el.

馮費家睿
His Chinese name includes both our family names. His given name includes the character for family, 家,  and the character for wise, clever and astute, 睿.
