We then headed to Costco where they have the greatest deals on wipes. While we came for wipes and toilet paper, we managed to spend a fortune on all kinds of other "necessities" that we didn't even know we needed until we got there.
We rounded out the day with a quick trip to Babies R Us where I got a pump to start expressing breast milk. It will be great to try and store some milk so that others can feed the little man. Will keep you posted on how that goes. We were impressed by the "family room" set up that they had -- two rockers, a change table and sink in a quiet private room gave us a chance to feed the baby and put him back to sleep for the ride home.
god luck - i hope to start tonight as well.
ReplyDeletethe nurse here suggested to me to start 7 times a day - 5 mins every time (and once out of the 7 during midnight-6 am).
what did your midwife suggest to you?
there are many thoughts to pumping (before or after you feed your baby etc).
peronally i think (and saw from friends experiences) that if you get your body used to pumping (aka producing milk) every day at the same hour/s - it will.
good luck to you (and me too) - nothing like going out for a while and leaving our babies knowing that they wont be hungry!!
