PSA: No more plastic SIN cards

This is a public service announcement for parents in Canada:

On March 31, 2014, Service Canada began issuing SINs in a paper format (confirmation of SIN letter). Production of the plastic SIN cards has stopped.

So don't be alarmed if the piece of mail you get doesn't have anything in the envelope, other than a piece of paper with the nine digits on it.

Also, please don't say "SIN number". It's just "SIN".
