We've enjoyed memberships to a few of the city's cultural institutions. The Science Centre has been a hit, not only for its proximity to us and its appeal to Gabriel, but also because we've enjoyed the reciprocal admission benefits while travelling.
The ROM was not as successful. While there is a small kids' play area, the actual museum wasn't that interesting to him. We'll try again in a year or two.
We received a membership to the AGO this year, and have been going to their Family Sundays programming. On a cold Sunday, we parked our car at an underground public lot off McCaul near Village by the Grange, and were able to walk indoors through the food court all the way back up to Dundas.
On this day, they had beat box, break dancing and graffiti presentations, and we stayed for the first two. Sitting on the ground in Walker Court, we got to experience an up-close demonstration and then took in a lesson.
