Mattress Mayhem

We started our day by picking up a friend and heading out to the Costco in Etobicoke. Once we loaded up our car with groceries and other sundries, we headed into Mississauga to visit Mother Hubbard's Cupboards. I called earlier in the week and confirmed that they carried the Colgate line of top-ranked mattresses. We bought the Colgate Visco Classica, a dual-sided mattress with their original foam on one side, and a softer memory foam on the other. Total cost: $259 + tax.

While we were there, we inspected a lot of their furniture, specifically, their dressers. They are a family-run business, and offer a variety of finishes, styles and knobs so you get exactly the item you want. We didn't see anything we specifically wanted, but left with a catalogue. Babies R Us also carries some of their items as well.

Getting everything into the car was a bit of a challenge. The mattress is surprisingly large. With one person in the back seat, and a trunk full of Costco treasures, we had to get very creative to squeeze everything in. This might not have worked if we had gotten a coil mattress.
