Completing the Room

The dresser we ordered arrived the first day of Passover (April 18th). It's very beautifully made. Over the last week or so, we've slowly begun to sort through all the baby clothes we bought and were lent. We can now put away all the clothes Flick's mom bought us, as well as putting away all the books from the shower.

In the photo above, you can see all of the baby books, some bath books, a toy wooden alligator, a few stuffed animals, a changing pillow and a memory foam pillow which we're thinking of using as a portable changing pillow.

In the crib, we've put a crib sheet on and laid down an Ultimate Crib Sheet. This came recommended in Baby Bargains because it's easy and fast to change. The regular crib sheet requires lifting the mattress in order to stretch the fitted part all the way around. But Flick feels the Ultimate Crib Sheet isn't very soft, and perhaps it might work if we put it underneath the crib sheet. To me, that would defeat the purpose of getting this. We'll figure it out I'm sure.

One final picture of the dresser drawers: you can see the dovetail joins. My only complaint is that they are quite loud, as they are not on glides.
