Sprucing up the room

We got a lot of work done on the house recently. When I say "we", we really mean we hired someone else to do the work because our skillz and motivation are lacking. At her old place, Flick had some renovations performed by Lynn of Vision Gardens, a contractor based in the east end. She also did our friends' bathroom renovation recently so we asked her for a quote to paint the baby's room, patch up drywall, install a furnace humidifer and few other things.

The room we're turning into the baby's room is fairly dark, as the window faces the neighbouring house. A grayish-brown paint also makes it seem uninviting. Flick and I looked at the booklet of paint samples and narrowed it down to either a pale buttery colour, or a light sky colour. We ended up going with Benjamin Moore's Innocence.

At one of the baby stores yesterday, we picked up some wall stickers to use as a fun decoration. They are the Jungle Adventure series from RoomMates. Total cost: about $18.
